I Did It!

Yup, previous posting I mentioned about my biggest client ever so far.

Before she signed up, I need to present her income projection and the comparison between Public Mutual, Amanah Saham Bumiputera and EPF itself. I took it as a challenged and for me to learn something new, and I will use this as a stepping stone for other big investor.

I emailed her the income projection and she was very happy with it, she claimed that it's simple and easy to understand. Of course i was very happy yo hear that!!! It was a compliment that I never get for quiet some times.

She invited me to come over her house over the weekend to meet her husband, and brief her husband about this. Her husband was a very easy going person and I didn't face any diffulty dealing with him. So, both of them agreed to sign up using their EPF money, RM48k and 19k respectively. So, I have secured RM68k in a day and it was my biggest achievement so far!

So far, I didn't face any difficulties doing this. The only difficulty I face is within myself. I need to put more effort to be more successful and this secured investment has gave me a new positive momentum in my life and I started to like this feeling.

Thank you to you for trusting me as your unit trust agent.

Sikit-Sikit Lama-Lama Jadi Bukit

Biar sedikit asal selamat.

Big Prospect!

5th June 2008 - I was on leave on that day and I'm planning to take my daughter out to celebrate her 2nd birthday, but unable to do it because she was catch by fever. With the intention not to waste my time without nothing to do, I remember one of my client(S) said that her elder sister(R) is interested in unit trust. I called her sister and managed to save an appointment at her office in Jalan Ampang(in front of KLCC) at 11.30 am. S advices me to come and see R with confidence and with full information on the product.

By 11.30am I already at R office and yup, S was right! I didn't need to explain on what unit trust is or what are the funds that I offered. Straight away she asked me how much can she earn when she retired. She's 49 and she already prepared her EPF statement for me to calculate how much can her EPF money generate income in 6 years. Looking at her statement, I was very surprised to know that she wanted to invest 47k with me. :)

But before that, I need to do an income projection and comparison between Public Mutual, ASB and EPF. Pening gak kepala fikir mcm mana nak buat. Luckily she's willing to provide me how much she contribute every month to EPF. So, i just do the estimation figures between 3 funds.

Emailed her the file and now i'm waiting for her feedback on it, and I hope she will agree with it and will invest with me because after she invests with me, she will propose her husband to invest too. If her husband invests with me, I'm sure he will propose this to his friends.

Looking for 100k from this couple. And may Allah bless me.Amin.

Reference : How to Sell Unit Trusts and Why People Buy

Title : How to Sell Unit Trusts and Why People Buy (Comprehensive Guide Series)
Author : Chris Gan
Publisher : Leeds Publications
Price : RM28.90

I've been to so many book shop just to look for a book as a guidance for me as a new unit trust consultant. But it's very dissappointing to find out that none of it. But I never give up to find one, just because I believed that surely there is someone who will write on it.

Until one day, I found this book. Eventhough the price is quiet cheap, I found that the book is very informative and give me enough knowledge to face my client.

This book is aimed at those who want to learn and master the secrets of selling unit trusts effectively. It is often said that most investor want to buy, but do not like to be sold. Hence, it is important for unit trust consultants (new and old) to arm themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to 'sell' without coming across as 'just another unit trust consultant'.

I strongly suggest this book to any of you who really want to know how to be successful as a unit trust consultant. (I will suggest this to my agents; someday when i have one)
